Bagà Historical Center

On the XII century, the Pinós baron planned a village center that was a curious example of medieval urban developement. The square, with a significant dimension and rustic arcades with a strong quality, brings the image of the daily life of the past that the traveler could perceive on the old wall’s tower and follow through all the details, since he arrives at the romance church with gothic finishes, and the old castle, a stylistic summary of the XIII and XVII centuries.

This is a guided tour through the medieval nucleus of the village’s life, crossing the Torre de la Portella tower, the Plaça de les Voltes square, the Sant Esteve church, the village bridge and the Pinós barons palace… .
