Distance: 40,6 km; total positive slope: 4.782 m.

Cavalls del Vent is one of the indispensable routes for those who love mountains and hiking in Catalunya. This 84,2 km long route traverses the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and is a circular one, starting and finishing in the same mountain hut. Thus, it can be done in both ways.

On this occasion, we’ll go on the eastern part of the trail, walking 40,6 km with 4.782 m of total positive slope. Would you like to do the Eastern part of Cavalls del Vent with us? If you do, you can join one of our guided tours.

Arrival to the Rebost Shelter by your own means. Meeting with the guide and the rest of the group, and route briefing.

Stage 1: Rebost Shelter - Serrat de les Esposes Shelter (7,5 h)

Breakfast. We will start this route with a climb heading to Niu de l'Àguila. On this first day, we will enjoy breathtaking views. Departure towards Penyes Altes (2.279 m) and, then, we will go down to the Moixeró. We will be facing quite a descent among mountain pines and silver firs until we reach Serrat de les Esposes. Dinner and accomodation at the shelter.

Stage 2: Serrat de les Esposes Shelter - Rebost Shelter (7 h.)

Breakfast at the shelter and departure towards the Cortals de l'Ingla mountain hut. Therefrom, we'll get to Coll de Pendís and start descending towards the Sant Jordi Shelter. From the shelter, we'll head for Ca l'Escriu, walking among beeches and pines to Gréixer. Therefrom, we will start the ascent towards the Millarés house and finally arrive to the Rebost shelter. End of the journey!
