Overview

Initiation

Have you ever tried to penetrate into a cave? With us you will have the chance to do it. Come try caving!

In Berguedà, the most representative cavity is the Bòfia de la Boixadera, about 400 metres long. We must say, it’s not the classical cave full of stalactites because its characteristics don’t allow their formation, but every cave has its own charm, and none will leave indifferent.

Initiation activity.

Duration: half day (3 hours).

You can buy or give as a gift this activity individualy, but you must be at least 2 participants in order to carry it out.

It includes guide, helmet, headlamp and insurance. You need to bring: firm footwear –as mountain boots– or sports shoes, failing that; old clothes to get dirty; a change of clothes.
Special discount for gropus of five or more people.

Progression

This option is not recommended for newbies, but very attractive if you have a minimum experience.

In this option of the activity, we’ll visit a cave with very narrow passes and water, and we’ll face some situations that require the technique and serenity that come with experience. There is no need to be in a very good shape, but you must be at least a bit agile and mentally calm to avoid getting nervous in complicated and clautrophobic situations. In this option, although it is more technical than the initiation one, we won’t be using ropes. The difficulty is due to the needed technique, the water, the size of the steps you must overcome, and the cave’s length.

Characteristics:

Name: Cova de Rotgers.
Brief description: cave in gypsum, into which water has eroded and created a series of galleries.
Altitude difference: 67 metres.
Length: 1.014 metres.
Duration of the activity: long morning or afternoon (about 4 h).

You can buy or give as a gift this activity individualy, but you must be at least 2 participants in order to carry it out.

You need to bring: firm footwear –as mountain boots– or sports shoes, failing that, in order to protect your ankles and to have good traction, and a change of clothes and footwear, since you’ll get wet and very dirty. It is advisable to bring some food to get a bite, and water.
