You’ll find both mountain and sea, and you can enjoy hidden little bays with crystalline waters, walk through a green vale skirting a glacial lake, or experience nature in the wilderness. A combination of landscapes that have inspired many of the universal artists who contributed to mould the 20th sentury artistic sensibility.

Day 1: Deltebre and Tortosa

Departure to Deltebre, a village located in the heart of the Ebre Delta Natural Park, a parfect place to dive into nature. A colourful land where the rice cycle marks the landscape's hue. Each season has its particular charm. A landscape of flat lands, a boundless horizon.
Sea taxi tour through the bay, and stopover at the Musclarium (mussle farm) for a mussle and oyster tasting.

Day 2: Tortosa

Breakfast at the lodging.
Tortosa is the capital of the Ebre river, a city in which past times are brathable in all of the Old Town's corners. A three-culture city in which, during the Late Middle Ages, Christians, Muslims (Saracens) and Hebrews (Judaists) coexisted.
Furthermore, it lays between two Natural Parks –the one of the Ebre Delta, and the Ports Natural Park–, but also in the heart of Terres de l'Ebre (the Ebre lands), a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
A day to explore the city.
In the afternoon, we'll go on a cruise through the Ebre river to watch the sunset while having cava and a typical tart of Tortosa.

A Parador with over 2.000 years of history, in accordance with the hertige of Tortosa, a city declared to be a historical-artistic complex. Settled on the course of the Ebre river, it shows a Mediterranean charm and climate. The Parador, placed in the impressive La Suda Castle, watches the city from above in an environment of monumental beauty which offers the charms of its many natural hotspots. In this comfortable hotel, you can enjoy the seasonal pool, a welcoming dining area with great gothic windows, comfortable rooms, and magnificent views upon the Ebre river in its final strecht.

Day 3: Lleida

Breakfast at the lodging.
Lleida is a city with a series of monumental buildings showing the variety of cultures that have left their mark in the city, from Roman and medieval remains to contemporary constructions.
Visit to La Seu Vella, a very renowned Romanesque-Gothic edifice that dominates the city from the homonymous hill.

Day 4: Lleida

Breakfast at the lodging.
Outing to Torrebesses. Ruta de la Pedra Seca tour (literally, Dry Stone Route) and Torrebesses oil tasting.
After the visit, lunch at a local restaurant.

Parador de Lleida.
The Parador is in an old 17th century monastery, in the heart of the Old Town and a few metres away of the main street, Lleida's commercial hub.
It has 53 rooms arranged around a beautiful three-storey central cloister which is accessed from the church, nowadays turned into a restaurant.
It also has multi-purpose rooms for business meetings, gym, leisure areas and free Wi-Fi.

Day 5: Mont-rebei Gorge and Vielha

Breakfast at the lodging.
Outing to the Mont-rebei Gorge, a vertical landscape between Aragón and Catalunya which cuts from North to South the Montsec mountain chain, the first great formation of the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees.

Then, departure to Vielha, capital of Vall d'Aran and a very charming village, surrounded by over 2.000 m high peaks. A land of a thousand colours with plenty of activities in the nature to offer.

Day 6: Vielha and Aigüestortes National Park

Breakfast at the lodging.
Outing to the Aigüestortes National Park, the only National Park in Catalunya, with peaks surpassing 3.000 m, rivers, canyons and waterfalls. A park displaying many shapes and colours, and sheltering a great diversity of vegetal and animal species who fight for survival in this harsh environment and bring life to this protected area, unique in Southern Europe. We will provide with all the needed information to go on a route.

It is the perfect place to enjoy the natural environment of Vall d'Aran and the snow in the Vaqueira-Beret ski slopes. Furthermore, you can enjoy a massage service or relax in the Spa, the indoor and the outdoor pools, the sun terrace, the jaccuzzi, and the sauna. Who could ask for more?
It lays in a privileged location, on top of a hill at the gates of Vielha wherefrom you will see all the beauty of this city in Vall d'Aran. The hotel, a true trait for the senses, offers impressive panoramic views upon the Catalan Pyrenees and the vast gardens that surround the circular dining area. Day 7: Sort and La Seu d'Urgell

Departure towards La Seu d'Urgell.
Stopover in Sort, an intrestig pyrenean territory of nature, culture and sport, with many attractives to discover.
You can take advantage of the stop and buy some lottery in La Bruixa d'Or.
Option to go rafting.

Day 8: La Seu d'Urgell

La Seu is a city offering various cultural, leisure and sport activities, as well as a commercial hub with local food products, and a great offer of high quality accomodation and gastronomy.

Parador de La Seu d'Urgell
The Parador de La Seu d'Urgell is the perfect combination of history and modernity. All of its facilities are arranged around an 18th century neoclassic cloister that invites to relax while enjoying the columns and the great windows. This hotel has an indoor heated pool, gym, sauna and solarium.
The cloister belongs to the Sant Domènec church, annexed to the Parador. The church is Catalan Gothic arquitecture from the early 15th century and used to be part of the old Dominican monastery. Furthermore, the Parador is just a few metres away of the city's most representative monument: the Santa Maria Cathedral, the only Romanesque cathedral conserved in Catalunya.

Day 9: Solsona and Cardona

Departure to Cardona.
Stopover in Solsona, capital of the Solsonès region, a city keeping its main attractives: the calm and richness of its historic and cultural heritage.
You can visit its Old Town which conserves three entrance gates from when the city was fortified: the bridge gate, the castle gate, and the Llobera gate. It keeps, as well, some parts of the city walls at Vall Calent and at the Pou de Gel (ice well), where they kept the ice to conserve it.

Day 10: Cardona

Breakfast at the lodging.
Cardona is a medieval village with great history, and located in a natural environment that offers many activities.
Its Old Town is a Site of National Cultural Interest in the historical set category. It's a good opporunity to visit it.
Guided visit to the salt mines, a natural phenomena, unique in the world, which still grows while rain erodes it. For one hour, you'll walk as deep as 86 metres into the mine and enjoy the spectacle of shapes and textures offered by the salt massif.

Parador de Cardona.
In this Parador, you'll feel as if you traveled through time to the Middle Ages. The hotel is a beutiful medieval castle with centuries of history at the top of a hill, wherefrom it watches the lovely city of Cardona. Its a facility fortified in the 9th century where you can also visit Minyona Torre and the lovely church, both dated from the 11th century. The hotel staff really mind the decoration in order to keep all of the castles charm, and for the moats, the towers and the Gothic elements to be behold in all its splendor. Panoramic views of the town and the lands along the Cardoner River are visible from anywhere you look out, a gift to which you will awaken each morning.

Day 11: Sau Reservoir

Outing to Pantà de Sau (Sau Reservoir), a reservoir found between crags. Its Romanesque bell tower stands out and is the popular measure of the reservoir's water level. With its 17 km length and 3 km width, it allows fishing and doing water sports.

Day 12: Vic

Breakfast at the lodging.
A day to discover the city of Vic by walking along its streets and dicovering its historic past. A marked route allows the visitor to behold thirty buildings, all of them of historical, architectural or artistic interest.

The lodging in the Sau Reservoir

Parador del Pantà de Sau
The hotel stands in one of the loveliest parts of the Osona region, with the Guilleries Mountains in the distance and the Sau Reservoir at its feet. The Parador reflects the traditional style of a Catalan country house. Day 13: Girona and Begur

Breakfast at the lodging.
Departure towards Begur. On the way, stopover in Girona to visit the city and to wander through the entangled streets of the Jewish quarter discovering all of its corners. You should also visit the Cathedral with its great nave, the Romanesque Sant Pere de Galligants Monastery, the Sant Feliu Gothic basilica, the coulirist houses... And there's so much more to discover!

Day 14: Cadaqués and Cap de Creus

Breakfast at the lodging.
Outing to Cadaqués, a lovely town where to get lost through its alleys and to enjoy the landscape from its lookouts.
Guided tour to the house of Dalí, the only steady residence of Salvador Dalí, where he lived and worked until 1982.
After visiting Cadaqués and Salvador Dalí's house, we'll visit Cap de Creus, a Natural Park that has inspired many different artistic expressions and has splendid views upon the sea.

Day 15: Sant Feliu de Guíxols

Breakfast at the lodging.
Outing to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, the very essence of Costa Brava, surrounded by a landscape full of contrasts. On this day, you'll enjoy this coast of cliffs that break into small bays and caves, one of the most charming natural spaces.
The town, an old fishing village, conserves an important historical heritage whose best exponent is the Benedictine Monastery and its oldest part, the Romanesque Porta Ferrada.
This a day for enjoying the many activities the city offers. We porpose two of them (optional): the Via Ferrata, the only one in Europe suspended over the sea, and kayaking to enjoy the hideouts of the bays.

The lodging in Begur

Parador d'Aiguablava
A fully renovated Parador located in a privileged area in the Mediterranean coast, with a stunning view of the Costa Brava from the top of the cliff of La Punta dels Muts. The natural environment is surrounded by pine trees and has an almost unspoilt nature. There is no better place to break away.
It offer a SPA with a view upon the Aiguablava cove, pool, gym, sauna, terraces and outdoor areas, all of it renovated to improve the comfort of the guests. Most rooms have a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean sea.
The town of Begur, placed on top of a hill, is located only four kilometres away from the Parador. On its summit, the main symbol of the town can be found: its medieval castle. The colonial-style Indian houses, which were built in the 19th century by emigrants who returned from America, are also to be highlighted. The Fira d’Indians (Indian Fair), in which Begur brings back memories of its Indian past, is held on the first weekend of September.

Day 16: Barcelona

Breakfast at the lodging.
Return to Barcelona and end of the trip.
Make the most of this last day visiting the lovely city of Barcelona.
