In the Berguedà cuisine the medieval flavours join the grandmothers’ cooking to result in a modern cuisine that keeps the taste of tradition. Menus changing in accordance with the season to offer such special and tasty dishes as masked potatoes and veal with mushrooms, but also curious ones as the “escairat” corn (literally, “squared corn”) or the black peas.

Mushrooms are allways the star, but let’s not forget the quality of the meat farmed by our mountain ranchers, of the game, and of a set of products made following the tradition: the artisanal cold meat and cheeses, which are made respecting the quality and, most of all, the pleasure for all tastes.
